Constant Expansion Jiu Jitsu is the lifelong dream of Michael Winston Andrews. Michael has studied for over 16 years the Art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The biggest passion in his life is being able to share the art with others around him. The goal is to build a tribe of liked minded people of all ages and genders who are seeking to better themselves physically and mentally. Learning skills for self defense as well as learning to push themselves out of their comfort zones.
Constant Expansion Jiu Jitsu features a curriculum of NOGI / GI grappling as well as Mixed Martial Arts. We are located in the heart of Savannah, GA in the Starland Arts District. Please feel free to come by and try a class. Come learn how to flow and learn how to roll!

Michael Winston Andrews was born and raised in Savannah,GA. Michael found his love and passion for JIu Jitsu at 14 when he was introduced to it by his uncle. The first time he stepped foot on the mats he fell in love with the art.
Abandoning all other sports he focused all his time on learning the gentle art. He has competed and won many Jiu Jitsu competitions and traveled all over the country competing and learning from the best in the art.
During college in his early 20's Michael's Jiu Jitsu journey took him to Athens, GA to The Hardcore Gym. Training under legendary MMA trainers Rory and Adam Singer. His focus during this time was on NOGI Jiu Jitsu.
After college Michael returned to Savannah and continued to train as much as possible. The passion Michael has for the art really shows on and off the mat. Constant Expansion Jiu Jitsu is the culmination of a life long dream.
Michael received his brown belt from Dave '' Big Wave '' Mewborn in 2018, after 15 years in the art.
Nothing is more important to Michael than spreading the art and improving the lives of others around him through Jiu JItsu.
“Big Wave” Dave Mewborn was born and raised in Athens, GA. A longtime student/athlete/coach at the HardCore Gym/SBG Athens, GA, under Adam and Rory Singer.
Dave is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, an outdoor enthusiast and senior guide with High Country Adventures, Ocoee, TN.
Dave found Jiu-Jitsu and MMA at GSU in his early 20s and continued his study of martial arts after graduation at the Hardcore Gym/SBG Athens. Dave entered into his first Pro Mixed Martial Arts competition in 2006. He enjoyed a long and successful MMA career training with elite athletes and coaches of all disciplines from Mundial and ADCC world champions to champions of western boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai and MMA champions of the UFC, Pride FC and WEC.
In the Winter of 2010, Dave received his black belt in Jiu Jitsu from long time Jiu Jitsu Professor Roberto Traven (Mundial champion, ADCC champion and UFC vet).
Dave and his girlfriend Jordan recently moved to Savannah in October 2018 and are excited to help build the best martial arts community in Savannah.
